Warm-up Flow:

There are 5 stations in warm-ups:

waiting to get through warm-ups. This is a great time to get them warmed up by jogging in place

  • Stretching mats - 6 minutes - No jumping, tumbling, stunting, etc., on the stretching mats
  • Tumbling mats - 6 minutes
  • Practice mats - 6 minutes on 7 panels. (This is a quiet run through without music or loud voices

Last station is approximately 12 minutes prior to performance. Please keep your team together and quiet.

Performance Process:

Teams will be taking the mats quietly while another team is performing. They are not announced at this time.

Please remind your spectators NOT to shout out to the team when they take the mat.

After the other team is finished, the DJ will introduce your team; this is when the crowd will cheer for them. The DJ will then say "(team name) you may begin". All of this takes less than 30 seconds.

Please let you athletes know they do not have to set and wait the minute they are on the mat. They should wait for the DJ to introduce them, and then they should set.

Coaches, do the call back cheer from the coach's seats but refrain from saying all of the cheer, we want the focus on the athletes.

After your team's performance is completed, please move your team along so the team waiting on the other mat can begin.

Score Check Process:

Only one (1) coach or the coordinator will be allowed at score check. Do not send 2 or more people to score check, you will void your opportunity.

Award Ceremony:

Before coming down to awards please make sure all trash has been picked up in your area. Good citizens first, great athletes second!

We invite ALL team members and coaches down on the floor for awards. This is, after all, a "team" effort. Please sit or dance on the mat you performed on.

Please do not bring anything other than your athletes on the mats. No flowers, bags, food, water bottles, etc. Leave them off to the side. No stunting, tumbling or jumping during award ceremony.

The route you took off the mat is the route you will take down to awards. Please clear the floor right after awards. Do not stop and look over your scores sheets while we are trying to clear the floor. Take a few pictures sure but don't over stay your welcome.

Score Sheets:

Score sheets will be available at the end of each session after all awards are handed out. Do not go to pick up your score sheets after your division awards are announced. Respect the other teams waiting to hear their division placements.

After all awards are announced score sheets can be picked up at the tabulation table not on the mat.

Teams Placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd:

Teams placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd will need to meet with Keesha Dickey, our region cheer director after each session. You need your book and region/national paperwork with you. You will also need to confirm if your team will be moving on to nationals. Location for this meeting will be announced.

Let's show great sportsmanship for all teams, clean up after ourselves and make 2016 the best region event it can be!!
