Sunday, November 19, 2017, the best of the best youth football teams in the New England Region will come together to play for the American Youth Football New England Region Championship title and the opportunity to advance to the American Youth Football National Championship playoffs in Kissimmee, FL.
The 2017 New England Region Division 1 and Division 2 Football Championship games will be held at Durfee High School located at 360 Elsbree Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. Please review the important information below regarding football games, admission to the games, stadium policies, and award presentations.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL DIVISION 2 CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON THE BACK FIELD. THE BACK FIELD IS TURF AND HAS A SCOREBOARD. THERE ARE NO BLEACHERS ON THE BACK FIELD SO SPECTATORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING THEIR OWN CHAIRS. CHAIRS CAN BE SET UP ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FIELD, BUT CANNOT BE SET UP ON THE TURF SURFACE.

Durfee High School Field Rules

Smoking - There is no smoking allowed on Durfee High School property including the parking lots.

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK WILL BE ALLOWEDPAST THE FRONT GATE.

Jumping the fence - There is no jumping/climbing over any of the fences - please communicate this to your children (both players and spectators).

Consumption of Sunflowers Seeds/Gum/Gatorade and similar drinks within the fenced in area is PROHIBITED - We ask that you do not have your child drink Gatorade or other colored drinks while on the field (including standing at the fence surrounding the field).

Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages – Is PROHIBITED on the school property. If found consuming alcohol on school property the police will exercise the necessary enforcement in accordance with the law.

Unauthorized personnel on the sidelines - only Coaching Staff, Officials, Athletic Trainer/EMT, Chain Crew, and Mandatory Play designees are allowed on the sidelines as well as NE Region officials, Conference officials participating in the game and host officials.  If you are not on the roster or involved in the aforementioned capacities, we need you to stay behind the fence.  Participants who have already played will also need to stay out of the fenced in area.

Parking - Please do not park in areas specifically marked "No Parking".  If the curbside is painted yellow do not park there. Certain areas are designated no parking to allow access for emergency vehicles. Parking in said areas only makes it more difficult for medical personnel to respond for our kids.

Garbage - There are trash receptacles located all around the complex.  Please do not leave your trash behind on the bleachers or just discard it on the walkways or on the ground. If we leave the field a mess we give the impression that we do not care and will therefore not be allowed to use it.

Bicycles, skateboards - Please let your children know that riding their bikes/skateboards on the bleacher ramps and/or bleachers is Not Allowed.

No pets or animals are allowed at Durfee High School.

General Information
Before you arrive:

1 - Review each football team book for:

  • Registration Folder / Parent Signature
  • Birth Certificate from the Town, City, State child was born in. Original is not required as long Town/City Clerk signature is visible
  • Current Medical Release dated after January 2016
  • Report card showing the child's name, school name, school year, grade

2 - Review all football cleats for any exposed metal. 

3 - Review all football helmets for loose facemask clips or helmet cracks

4 - Review all mouth guards to ensure proper fit and attached to facemask

5 - Coaches should bring an extra copy of their roster or a list of players names and jersey numbers for the announcers.

6 - Coaches to bring 2 copies of MPR form. (Download a copy from the Forms section). We follow AYF MPR's for region football games.

7 - Players should bring extra pair of dry clothes in the event of rain or snow so they may change after the game.

Upon arrival:

1 - Teams please arrive 1 hour and 45 minutes before your game time.

2 - Teams will be checked in 1 hour prior to game time unless otherwise advised. Check in will be conducted by Region/Host staff.

a - If you arrive by bus instruct the driver to drop the team off at the front of the stadium. The bus will then be instructed where to park. 

b - If players and coaches arrive in separate cars, we will wait for all players to arrive before checking the team in

3 - All teams must have 2 game jerseys (home and away). Any team that does not have 2 game jerseys must contact the prior to advancing.

4 - No individuals will be allowed on the sidelines except credentialed coaches for the team playing and Region, Conference, Association Officials.

5 - At the conclusion of each game, teams will exit the field to the award presentation area. Please exit the playing field as quickly as possible at the conclusion of the game so the next scheduled game can begin. Remember to take all your belongings and clean up before leaving the field.

Field Guidelines for Championship Finals
The Gates to the field will open one (1) hour prior to the start of the first game of the day.
NO ONE IS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD DURING GAME TIME EXCEPT THE FOLLOWING:
Rostered coaches and players only and they are to stay within the marked boundaries on the field surface
  • Three (3) members of the chain gang
  • The required EMT/CAT
  • A maximum of two (2) play trackers (MPR people) for each team
  • New England Region / Conference / Association Board Members
  • Game officials
  • Cheerleaders and their coaching staff of the current game
  • Rostered team parent
  1. This is a turf field. Absolutely NO METAL CLEATS/SPIKES can be worn on the surface of the field at any time
  2. Tobacco products of any kind are not allowed within the field area.
  3. Dogs and other pets or animals are prohibited on the field surface area or in the field area at all times unless they are service animals.
  4. Sharp objects and anything that can penetrate the surface are strictly forbidden
  5. Unauthorized vehicles of any kind including bicycles and scooters are not allowed
  6. All participants, coaches and spectators will conduct themselves in a manner displaying good sportsmanship throughout the event.
  7. As the field is a turf field ONLY Water is allowed on the game field

2017 AYF Regional / National Team Book Order:

This is the time when all books and documentation will be reviewed, verified and certified. Please make sure you have all the proper paperwork as listed to ensure there is no problems with your teams. These are all required documents for participation in all Regional and National Events.
To expedite the book certification process please put all forms for coaches and athletes in roster order

National Tournament Registration

The On-line Team Entry/Registration Form is DUE on November TBA by Midnight. No exceptions!

Once you qualify at your local regional event you MUST take the following steps to register your team(s) for National Participation.
Any Entries past the due date are not guaranteed a place in the tournament and will risk coverage in event media.

The following is the process to register on-line for National Championship events:
 
  1. Log into www.myayf.com
  2. Click on Member Profile tab.
  3. Click on Register for Nationals.
  4. Follow the instructions on the page.
  5. Ensure that all team details are set and accurate, including: Team Name, Division, Coaches, Team Contact.
  6. Have a team picture (in jpg format, a minimum size of 300 dpi) on your computer and ready to upload.
  7. Submit credit card or check information for the entry fee payment.
Once your payment is complete, you will receive your "AYF REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION NUMBER and TEAM BOOKING CODE’ which will allow you access to book rooms in the mandatory hotel accommodations. Any team reservations made without this code will not be eligible for participation.
 
All qualifying national championship participants (football and cheer) will need to have ALL FORMS and ID's certified by their local Conference and Regional Representatives. All requirements MUST be completed in order to be eligible for play. There will be no exceptions. All necessary forms can be found on the Forms Link.

ALL participants must attend Regional and National TEAM CHECK-INS
